CONGRESSMAN PITTENGER REACTS TO CONGRESSMAN COBLE’S DECISION TO NOT SEEK RE-ELECTION
CHARLOTTE – Today, Congressman Howard Coble (NC-06), the senior member of North Carolina’s Congressional delegation, announced he will not seek a 16th term.
“Congressman Howard Coble is a genuine person, always voting his conscience and staying focused on his constituents, even if it meant turning down ‘bigger’ opportunities,” said Congressman Robert Pittenger (NC-09). “As a freshman, Congressman Coble has been a tremendous help to me, gracious with his advice and counsel. I will miss our regular chats on the House floor.
“Affectionately known as ‘The Lead-uh,’ Congressman Coble has dedicated his entire life to public service, and all of North Carolina has been the beneficiary.”
