Pittenger on PayPal decision

CONGRESSMAN PITTENGER ON PAYPAL DECISION TO CANCEL CHARLOTTE PROJECT
PANAMA CITY, PANAMA – Congressman Robert Pittenger (NC-09) had this reaction to PayPal’s decision to cancel construction of a global operations center in Charlotte:
“PayPal does business in 25 countries where homosexual behavior is illegal, including 5 countries where the penalty is death, yet they object to the North Carolina legislature overturning a misguided ordinance about letting men in to the women’s bathroom? Perhaps PayPal would like to try and clarify this seemingly very hypocritical position.”
Congressman Pittenger, who serves as Vice Chairman of the Financial Services Committee Task Force to Investigate Terrorism Financing, is currently in South America for a series of meetings with foreign leaders to discuss efforts to intercept terrorism financing.
