CONGRESSMAN PITTENGER INVITES STUDENTS TO EXPLORE OPPORTUNITIES AT MILITARY SERVICE ACADEMIES
CHARLOTTE – Student leaders from the 9th Congressional District are invited to attend the 11th Annual Service Academy Day, hosted by Congressman Robert Pittenger (NC-09) on Saturday, April 13th. Representatives from each of the five federal service academies will make presentations and be available for one-on-one conversations with students and parents.
“One of the greatest privileges as a Member of Congress is working with young men and women who are interested in serving our country as military officers,” commented Congressman Pittenger. “The Service Academy Day is a wonderful opportunity for students, parents, and counselors to explore opportunities and decide if they want to begin the application process.”
The 11th Annual Service Academy Day will be held on Saturday, April 13th, 10 a.m., at Charlotte Catholic High School, located at 7702 Pineville-Matthews Rd. in south Charlotte.
Representatives from the U.S. Military Academy (West Point), the U.S. Naval Academy (Annapolis), the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy will be in attendance.
The 11th Annual Service Academy Day is open to high school and middle school students from the 9th Congressional District, as well as their family members, counselors, and educators.
