CHARLOTTE – Congressman Robert Pittenger is making it easier for Matthews-area residents to receive help battling federal red tape, ask questions about current issues in Washington, or offer feedback.

Starting Tuesday, Congressman Pittenger will offer regular, weekly office hours at the Matthews Town Hall.  Staff will be available to help 9th District constituents with issues involving Social Security, Medicare, passports, Medicaid, small business issues, and other confusing and convoluted problems in federal government bureaucracy.

“The federal government should work for you, not the other way around,” commented Congressman Pittenger (NC-09).  “My veteran staff in Matthews has years of experience helping constituents cut through federal red tape and explaining the often confusing ways of Washington.  We would be honored to serve you.”

Congressional office hours in Matthews are scheduled for each Tuesday, 9 a.m. through noon, at  the Matthews Town Hall (232 Matthews Station St. in downtown Matthews, on the second floor, above the Matthews Public Library).

Convenient, weekly office hours are also available in Weddington, Waxhaw, Indian Trail, and Stallings, and staff is available Monday through Friday at Congressman Pittenger’s offices in Charlotte and Mooresville.
